Redesigned User Management For Simplified Role and Access Control

In our efforts to continually improve the user experience of our platform, we’ve redesigned our User Management section to enhance how administrators manage users, roles, and access. This is particularly relevant for teams managing multiple domains or customers.

Key Features and Improvements

Updated User Management Page

The User Management table has been enhanced to give administrators better visibility and control:

  • Clearly see a user’s status (Active or Pending).
  • View the roles assigned to each user.
  • Resend invitations directly from the table for users who haven’t yet activated their accounts.

Redesigned Invite Flow

We’ve reimagined how you invite users to your organization:

  • Simplified role selection lets you assign the correct permissions faster.
  • Improved permission structure makes it easier to view and edit user access levels.
  • You can now assign multiple roles across different products and domain groups (e.g., Product Admin for EasySender and Domain Group Admin for a specific group in EasyDMARC).

Role Hierarchy and Conflict Prevention

To reduce confusion and potential access issues, we’re now enforcing role hierarchy rules:

  • Users can no longer have conflicting roles, such as:

    • Organization Admin and Domain Group Admin
    • Domain Group Admin and Domain Editor within the same group
    • Product Editor and Domain Editor for the same product

If a conflicting role is selected during setup, the system will display a clear error message prompting you to adjust the selection.

Please note: Existing users with conflicting roles will retain access for now. However, when admins attempt to update these users’ permissions, they’ll be required to resolve any conflicts.

Invitee Verification

To ensure better control and prevent mass or fraudulent invites, we’re introducing Invitee Verification, which works as follows:

  • Admins can invite up to five users per invitation.
  • Each invitation is valid for 48 hours.
  • Users appear as Pending in the User Management page with a visible countdown.
  • If the invite is not accepted within 48 hours, the user is automatically removed.
  • Admins can revoke invitations at any time or resend them if needed.

Stay tuned for more updates as we build toward an even better management flow.

EasyDMARC Enhances its Alerting System with Email Volume Category

We’re excited to announce the release of our enhanced Alerting System, designed to give you even greater visibility and control over your email security. This upgrade introduces a new “Email Volume” category, allowing for precise monitoring of email behavior across four DMARC compliance sub-categories: Compliant, Non-compliant, Threat/Unknown, and Forwarded.

With this enhancement, you can:

  • Pinpoint compliance issues, e.g. rise in Threat/Unknown emails.
  • Quickly identify not-configured and non-compliant email sources with improved tracking of authentication rollouts
  • Gain granular insights into domain-specific email volume and compliance trends.
  • Reduce manual oversight of critical compliance shifts without constant monitoring.

Key Features and Capabilities

1. Flexible Threshold Logic

Our enhanced Alerting System introduces a more flexible and intuitive approach to monitoring email authentication. You can now set alert thresholds based on percentages or fixed numbers, allowing you to fine-tune monitoring based on your specific needs.

2. Total Volume Tracking

To further enhance visibility, we’ve introduced a “Total Volume” tracking option. Instead of percentages, this feature provides a raw count of all emails, helping you better understand your email flow.

3. Email Volume Category Alerts

The new “Email Volume” category expands alerting functionality by breaking email traffic into four compliance-based sub-categories: Compliant, Non-compliant, Threat/Unknown, and Forwarded.

You can configure alerts for individual domains or groups of domains, ensuring you receive timely notifications so you can proactively manage compliance-specific issues. In addition, if you add a new domain to an existing group, the system will automatically start monitoring it.

Keep an eye out for more product improvements and new features designed to simplify your user experience while further enhancing your email security.

  • New SSO Setup and Management Page – We redesigned the SSO experience, which is now based on SAML 2.0, and supports the most popular IdPs such as Azure, Okta, OneLogin, Jumpcloud, and Google. You can easily configure SSO from Organization Settings in the EasyDMARC dashboard.

    • Managed MTA-STS

EasyDMARC Enhances Single Sign-on (SSO) Experience

Single sign-on (SSO) has been part of the EasyDMARC offering for a few years, as it is key to enhanced security and seamless accessibility. We have now improved the user experience even further by enabling you to manually configure SSO for your company rather than having to rely on our Support team for this setup.

EasyDMARC SSO, which is based on the SAML 2.0 standard, supports the four most common identity providers:

  • Microsoft Azure Active Directory
  • Google Workspace
  • OneLogin
  • Okta

We are working on adding other identity providers, e.g. JumpCloud, and also aim to have support for SCIM in the future.

To complete the SSO process, you need to first verify domain ownership and then set up SSO through your identity provider. You’ll find step-by-step guides for configuring each identity provider in our Knowledge Base.

Our enhanced SSO process addresses a critical need for centralized identity management, streamlines logins, and reduces the management overhead associated with individual EasyDMARC accounts. Keep an eye out for our next platform improvement.

The new SSO configuration can be accessed by going to your EasyDMARC dashboard → Organisation Settings → Single Sign-On
